Today, The Data Protection and Privacy Office (DPO) spoke at the Rwanda Youth Internet Governance Forum 2025 Forum; an initiative organized by Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA), which brought together 150 students from various universities in Kigali, aiming at engaging the young people in discussions around internet governance matters and the future of the internet.
The DPO delivered a session on Personal Data Protection and Privacy Law, highlighting key cybersecurity threats and best practices for staying safe online. Emphasis was placed on, among others; web browsing safety, email security, strong passwords, device protection, human factor risks, phishing and ransomware.
